Natalia Duda is a financial analyst at Volta Drive in Gliwice. Every morning at eight, she switches on her desktop and signs in to the company system. Then she downloads the sales reports and checks every number twice.

Today, Priya Raman from IT comes to her desk. Priya usually carries a laptop, but today she has a tablet. She wants to show Natalia the new ERP system, which will be ready in eight weeks. The battery is almost dead, so Priya plugs in the charger to charge it. ‘Look at the screen,’ she says. ‘Here you can see all the stock in the factory.’ Natalia looks at one number. ‘Let me double-check that first,’ she says. She opens her own report. The number is different! Priya laughs. ‘Good, that is why we are testing it now.’ She takes a photo of the screen with her smartphone and shares it with her team. ‘So, to confirm: you will send me your report, and my team will check the system.’

At five o’clock, Natalia sends Priya her report, signs out and switches off her computer. Priya unplugs her tablet. Tomorrow, Natalia will go online, open the test system and check the number again.
